Over the course of this nine-month cohort programme you will explore theories of learning, develop a philosophy of teaching and learning, enquire into approaches to curriculum design, feedback and assessment, and expand your knowledge and practice through introductions to higher education research. You will work on a series of formative assignments during the year, culminating in an extended reflective account of practice to complete the programme.

This programme is accredited by Advance HE: successful completion will see you accredited as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

The programme is designed for those with substantive teaching / learning support responsibilities, such as early-career lecturers or researchers, College Teaching Officers, and academic-related or support staff with roles involving teaching or learning support. It may be of particular interest if you are on the Teaching & Scholarship Academic Career Pathway.

Applications close on Monday 26 June.

For more information, key dates and to apply, please visit the Advancing Educational Practice Programme webpage.

The Advancing Educational Practice Programme is a taught, developmental course structured around six workshops, requiring a commitment of around 10 days' work over the year. If you are interested in accreditation as a Fellow of the HEA and believe that you already have the experience necessary, you may instead be interested in the Teaching & Learning Recognition Scheme, which supports you in drafting a successful application.

Alternatively, if you are interested in studying for a Master's-level qualification, you may instead wish to apply for the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education, also accredited with Advance HE, which requires a substantially greater time investment (30-35 days over the year).
