Following the Examination Review Final Report (2017), the University has been strongly encouraging "creative and innovative modes of assessment as appropriate to the subject being examined". This symposium is an opportunity for all staff involved in assessment or examination practices to explore processes and opportunities for changing, refining or adapting current assessment practices.

The symposium will be chaired by the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Graham Virgo, and the Chair of the Examination and Assessment Committee, Professor Chris Young.

The morning will include short presentations from a range of disciplines about diverse assessment practices, including innovative approaches to the traditional exam.

Date: Friday 13 March
Time: 10am - 12:30pm
Venue: Student Services Centre
