Annual Meeting for Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors 2018

The theme for the Annual Meeting 2018 was 'Developing the new Education Strategy: participation and inclusion in the collegiate University'.

The meeting was hosted by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Prof. Graham Virgo, and provided an opportunity to reflect on priorities for the new Education Strategy and to inform its further development.

Further information about the new Education Strategy

The Education Strategy will set directions for the next five years for undergraduate and postgraduate education and for the broader student experience. There will be areas of continuity between the Learning and Teaching Strategy and the new Education Strategy. However, significant Government policy developments, changes within the collegiate University, and changing aspirations and pressures affecting current and prospective students, mean that it is timely to reflect on the broad ambitions of education at Cambridge and what these mean for Cambridge's students, staff and educational environments.

Following deliberations at appropriate committees, including the Steering Committee of the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning, Senior Tutors' Committee and General Board's Education Committee, and informed by discussion at the annual meeting for Directors and Teaching and Senior Tutors, it is anticipated that the Education Strategy will be presented for approval to the General Board towards the end of Michaelmas Term 2018.
