Annual Meeting for Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors 2020

The event was chaired by the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Graham Virgo. The programme included student contributions and opportunities for both small-group discussions and questions in plenary.

During the first half of the meeting we reviewed Cambridge's commitments under the Access and Participation Plan (2020-25) to narrow awarding gaps found at Cambridge, and heard from four student co-researchers presenting their findings and proposals from projects carried out to identify underlying causes for these gaps and potential interventions.

In the second half we reflected on lessons learned from the pivot to remote assessment in Easter Term 2020, and explored implications for the future, both short- and long-term. We heard from a panel of students and staff reflecting on their experiences of assessment and plans for the future.
