Annual Meeting for Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors 2017

The theme for the Annual Meeting 2017 was ‘Diversity in the collegiate University’: a discussion meeting for Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors.

Following the success of previous events, Senior Tutors were also invited to participate this year.

The discussion meeting was chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education. We considered the meaning of ‘diversity’ from a range of perspectives and reflected on implications for teaching, learning, assessment and broader student experiences and concerns.

The afternoon began with four short presentations by Cambridge colleagues, followed by a panel discussion. During the second part of the afternoon, Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors had time to discuss questions and priorities in small groups and to identify salient themes and concerns for discussion with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and, where appropriate, for further attention. Read the outline agenda for the event.
