This section addresses the practicalities of providing content notes.
Content notes should be specific and refer to the nature of the content so that students are able to prepare in an informed way. Deciding what content needs noting is often common-sense, but we have provided a list for further support in identifying potentially sensitive content. It is also good practice to proactively invite feedback so that students with particular needs feel able to approach staff for support.
Content notes may be presented at different points of engagement and in different ways – see the guidance and examples on the How to present content notes page and the Alternative approaches page. Regardless of how you present them or what you call them, the important thing is that students are easily able to access information about the content of their teaching sessions ahead of time.
