The 2025 Pilkington Prize winners with Vice-Chancellor Deborah Prentice, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Bhaskar Vira, and the donors, at the prize ceremony at Christ's College in June

We enjoyed a beautiful evening last week at Christ's College celebrating the 2025 winners of the Pilkington Prize, on Wednesday 11 June.

Fourteen members of staff were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to education, with the Prizes awarded by Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education Prof. Bhaskar Vira and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deborah Prentice. We were also pleased to be joined by relatives of the donors, Ros & Jeff Christian and Angela Cooper.

The Pilkington Prize Award ceremony is one of my favourite events in the University calendar. It’s always deeply satisfying to see hard-working staff recognised for their commitment and dedication to teaching and learning. We all know that behind every great student is a great teacher and I feel privileged to work alongside such excellent colleagues.
