Chay Graham

Highly Commended, Inclusive Practice

Throughout his time as an undergraduate Chay has worked relentlessly to promote inclusive practice and equality of opportunities for disabled students across the institution. He has contributed regularly to the work of the Disability Resource Centre, CCTL and Disabled Students' Campaign, voluntarily sharing the student voice, collaborating in research, disseminating findings and helping to develop materials that foster inclusive practices.

Chay has worked collaboratively on formal projects that inform policy and practice, such as the DRC Transition Event for incoming disabled students, as well as contributing to a number of DSC projects exploring best practice in inclusion by developing materials, organising and facilitating focus groups, and disseminating outcomes.

His positive, proactive approach to issues of inclusion is exceptional and his voluntary work has made a significant, material difference to the experiences of disabled students.

In 2020-21, Chay was a third-year Undergraduate reading Natural Sciences at Magdalene College.
