Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning

The Annual Meeting for Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors is held just before the start of Michaelmas Term, and is open to members of staff who have been appointed as the Director of Teaching for their subject area, or as a Senior Tutor.

Directors of Teaching and Senior Tutors are warmly invited to this year's annual meeting. The event will be chaired by the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Graham Virgo, and the Secretary of the Senior Tutors' Committee, Dr Mark Wormald. The agenda will include student contributions and opportunities for discussion, networking and the sharing of good practices.

During the first half of the meeting we will review priorities and identify practicalities for investigating and closing attainment gaps among undergraduate students, as set out in Cambridge's Access & Participation Plan (2020-25). In the second half we will explore questions concerning formative and summative assessment practices and students' learning. Professor Chris Young, Chair of the Examination and Assessment Committee, will facilitate this session.

Date: Friday 27 September
Time: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: Exam Halls, Student Services Centre

An agenda and a briefing for the afternoon will be circulated nearer the time.

Please register via the link below by Wednesday 18 September.
