Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning

students meeting

After the successful launch of the OSCEAs in 2019, the enthusiastic response from staff and students and the quality of the nominations confirmed our decision to make this an annual award.

This year we received another impressive set of nominations, even though the nomination window was opened during the rapid pivot to remote teaching and learning. Indeed, many of the nominations reflected these changed circumstances and celebrated the extraordinary efforts students took to support their peers or work with staff during the lockdown.

We sincerely commend every singly person who was nominated for an award. Your efforts enhance the educational experience for everyone. Once more a difficult set of decisions, the panel are nonetheless delighted to announce the winners of the 2020 Outstanding Student Contribution to Education Awards.

The judging panel comprised:

  • four members of CCTL
  • two members of the CCTL Steering Committee
  • the two Access, Education & Participation Officers of Cambridge Student Union, one representing postgraduates and one undergraduates
  • the two BME Campaign Education Officers
  • a representative from Cambridge Admissions Office
  • a representative from the Inclusive Learning & Teaching Advisory Group
